Retrieved from singles de england south west coastal path https: Christine was lovely and took us to meet the duck and their ducklings, we fed the animals it was great for the children. The swing and zip wire kept the children active and encouraged them to explore. It was truly very peaceful and relaxing too. We would love to return to explore and relax more. Beautiful secluded escape from busy life! Very friendly owners who prepared us in advance with directions, food shopping, what to bring.

Perfect for our newborn and puppy. Close to gorgeous beach, if the weather permits! Loads of countryside walks. Just a lovely rural experience in a lovely setting for true relaxation. Actually there is a lot to do nearby as well such as Dartmouth, Slapton Sands and so on. A lovely time was had by all of us, especially the children loved feeding the ducks and chickens and walking in the stream.

Lovely escape with great beaches only a short drive away. The house had everything we needed and the surroundings were beautifully wild! The welcome cake, the freshly pressed apple juice, the invitation to feed the fowl on site all added to the relaxed experience. The cottage was very clean and spacious and surprisingly warm for a Grade II Singles de england south west coastal path property. The wood singles de england south west coastal path completed the package for us.

Thank you Christine and John. We will come again. We stayed in Mill Cottage over the Easter break and were very happy with our stay. Jade was very helpful in both communicating with us prior to the trip and during our stay. The location is secluded but wonderful.

Would definitely recommend for a quiet getaway. Made a great base for a long weekend in Devon, travelled to Salcombe, Kingsbridge and Dartmouth easily by car. Had all the necessities to cook a nice meal and we ate outside one evening - not a sound! Very peaceful location and feel very chilled out after a few days there! A lovely cottage in a very quiet and beautiful location.

I stayed with our children. It was a very comfortable and relaxing break. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area and the cottage was a perfect base. Great hosts, helpful tips and information. This converted stone barn is a complete tardis. It was plenty spacious for our family of 4. Everything was clean, cosy and welcoming. It was lovely having this as our base. We looked forward to coming back after a day exploring.

The barn has a happy vibe. Sitting on the porch in the evenings, listening to the gentle rustle of leaves while the fairylights twinkled. It had a magical quality and I fell head over heels for its effortless rustic charm. It's well positioned to access some lovely beaches, great coastal walks.

The cottage guide is packed full of great suggestions for places to eat, walks, or things to do. Our kids aged 4 and 5 loved the trip to Dartmouth castle best. It was a restorative break we had here. And I don't know what it is about the water here, but my skin looks clearer and hair looks glossier than ever before.

The barn is lovely located on the countryside surrounded by fields and offers a glimpse on the sea from the balcony. It is well situated to discover the South Hams. The historical barn with its garden is simple, but functional and spacious for a family with 4 persons.

We never met Sueann in person but the digital conversation worked well and answers singles de england south west coastal path very quickly only problem: We had an issue with singles de england south west coastal path a previous tenant did but Sueann was very helpful and took care of it.

We stayed at Strawberry Barn for four nights at the end of September. Sueann is an excellent host singles de england south west coastal path although we never met her she was quick to respond to any messages we sent and was always seemed friendly and helpful.

The quaint village of Slapton is within walking distance although singles de england south west coastal path walk is along country lanes which are narrow and without footpaths. There are dozens of beautiful beaches all nearby and at this time of year a lot of them are completely deserted. We went to Singles de england south west coastal path and Gara Rock - both of which were around a 20 minute drive from the barn. The latter is accessed by an occasionally steep footpath and is around a 20 minute walk from the car park but it is worth the effort and is a truly stunning beach.

The interior is very tastefully decorated and is full of homely touches. The kitchen is well equipped, the bathroom spotlessly clean, and beds very comfy.

All in all I would fully recommend Strawberry Barn. We hope singles de england south west coastal path be back! What a gem of a place! Beautiful little home in a stunning rural setting. Slapton Sands is just a five minute drive away, whilst the village of Slapton itself is picturesque. Definitely recommend visiting the Cricket Inn, Beesands, which is also a short distance away. We loved it so much we are heading back in June! Great weekend break in lovely quiet location.

Lovely barn with everything you could need. Close to local beaches and plenty of nice walks in the area. All aspects I would rate as high as possible. Expect to be off grid - surely that is the point? I took some overdue work and its still in the bag. Quack Cottage is such a special place - a very nice and cozy cottage in amazing surrounding with a beautiful river crossing the gardens.

Add to that the very friendly hosts, fresh local organic meat, tame animals lambs, sheep, chicken, ducks and amazing beaches in short distance and you have a perfect holiday - many thansk! Beautiful location for a relaxing get-away. Christine was so kind introducing the children to the chickens and ducks. Plenty to do locally. We even saw a hump back whale off the coast! Quack Cottage is a lovely simple three bed cottage.

Its right next to the bubbling river which a mesmerising, down a narrow twisting lane. We had a lovely stay over new year, and did lots of walking and cooking. If you're into cooking its good to know that there's a full electric hob, double oven, microwave, fridge and also a freezer. Its a lovely place. A beautiful, quiet, atmospheric and genuine place.

Nicely furnished cottage, garden with pretty stream, and very friendly hosts. At the bottom of a Devon valley, so at times a bit dark and damp; but a truly lovely and timeless place. We have had a fantastic idilic break at Quack Cottage and the hosts were all so helpful and kind. Thank you very much! Lovely big house and great space for a large group. It was very comfortable and clean but obviously well lived in so we could relax and feel at home.

Richard met us on arrival and showed us around and made us feel very welcome. There is some lovely country side and coast nearby and we enjoyed canoeing on some of the local rivers. A car and steady nerves required for narrow windy lanes. Would thoroughly recommend this place for large groups or family events. The house and its gardens are absolutely gorgeous. We were a large group with plenty of small children and couldn't have wished for a better place to stay and explore the South Hams from.

Thank you Richard for making it so easy for us! Beautiful little retreat in stunning surroundings Visiting the goats was fun. The Property was of a high standard and well worth a repeat visit in the future.

This was a heavenly place, very private with amazing wildlife and walks. The bird song was amazing. The lodge was lovely and well equipped. We were in the Look Out and hope we can stay again.

The lodge was clean and in a peaceful and secluded location surrounded by woodland and a stream. Be prepared for the drive as roads are very narrow and windy, but it's worth it for total peace and quiet. We could drive to local towns such as Dartmouth and the beach in Salcombe in half an hour. We booked our particular lodge because of the hot tub, unfortunately it didn't work for 2 of the days we were there and the lodge lacked a user manual.

However, this did not prevent us from a fantastic few days, where we could totally relax. All towels and bed linen very clean. A uniquely positioned lodge, with great access into Dartmouth, Slapton and Salcombe. Accommodated 6 people well in a cosy, clean setting. Well equipped kitchen with gas cooker. Comfortable beds with nice duvets and pillows, always great to have towels provided.

Plenty of parking right by your front door! Well worth a visit. This place is absolutely ideal for large parties. Just celebrated my parents golden wedding anniversary with the entire family and it's got everything you could need. The facilities are very clean and looks new. Plenty of space to stretch out as a group and the garden is wonderful when the weather is good. Indoors is nice and warm for a large place just in case you aren't so lucky with the weather. Weekend hiking trips Singles de england south west coastal path organise 3 to 6 weekend trips a month to all corners of the UK, showing you the very best that this country has to offer. We typically rent an entire Youth Hostel just for our group and after a great days hiking then either go to a local restaurant or cook at the hostel.

We have over 18 different weekend trips and are adding new ones all the time! We have a professionally trained chef who joins many of our trips and we regularly visit all of the UK's National Parks and designated "Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty". Trips abroad We offer an ever increasing variety of trips from 3 nights up to a week and will be having a number of new trips added in Where possible we aim for twin bed rooms and put the meticulous planning into our foreign trips so that you can have a great time and get to see the best of the area that you're visiting.

It is a legal requirement as well as advisable for safety in many foreign mountainous locations to have an internationally qualified guide and for many of our foreign trips we have a local or native speaking guide.

As well as walking trips, we organise several pub socials per year in central London locations as well as discount nights at outdoor stores in central London. We do focus on the outdoor events more than socials but we can recommend a good social group who do the following events:. Pub crawls, social events, wine tastings, sightseeing, making new friends, dining adventure, new in town drinks, food and cooking related events, exploring London's night life, social drinks, 18s, Go Ape, Treasure Hunts, Go Karting and Paintball.

We've been offering multi activity weekends for several years and have both offered or will be bringing the following activities to our weekends - some in London and some that we have to travel to:. Not forgetting of course photography sessions! Starting with our first multi activity weekend to the Brecon Beacons nearly 3 years ago, we offer a variety of these weekends where you can try activities such as abseiling, cycling, caving, canoeing, scrambling, kayaking or surfing as well as hiking of course.

We're affiliated with two London cheese and wine groups and have even hosted cheese and wine evenings on our weekends! The fun places we visit and travel to on our walking trips in the UK include: Singles de england south west coastal path also arrange some super foreign walking trips to hike to destinations such as: We are forever expanding our trips and have some wonderful destinations that we will be hiking to in the future.

Within the UK we already visit most of its great national parks, but will be extending our trips to cover all of them:.

We also visit designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty which have included and will include:. Quite simply - we all share a passion for the great outdoors and with all of our trip leaders being born and raised in the UK with a life long love of hiking, we can't wait to show you this great country!

We have so many wonderful experiences on our trips and many people have found a new love of the outdoors, met their partners through Outdooraholics and made what are likely to be lifelong friendships.

Our organisers can't wait to show you this great country and why we all developed such a lifelong love of hiking here all those decades ago.

We offer a range of superb value yoga retreats in the UK, which we call Yogaholics trips. We also typically have a professional chef to ensure we have wonderful, healthy and revitalising food.

singles de england south west coastal path

We follow the same great formula as with our hiking weekends - great organisation, great home cooked food, pre planned and hiked routes and highly experienced hike leaders and using hostels allows us to do this at a great price too. We look forward to bringing you an even more expanded range of Yogaholics trips as we enter our 4th year of these Yogaholics trips in !

A very good question. There are some superb London based walking groups on Meetup - Backabush are well known for over a decade of organising superb hiking weekends and brought the whole concept of great value hiking trips to Meetup and Trailblazer have been organising an excellent and huge range of days hikes for over 5 years now.

Both groups we highly recommend and regularly hear singles de england south west coastal path things about their trips and both have inspired many other groups to offer similar events to theirs.

Except for Outdooraholics most of the major London hiking groups on Meetup have evolved out of Backabush and Trailblazer and generally run the same format as their trips. Whilst we'd be lying if we said we weren't inspired by the great trips these groups run, we wanted to do something different and new and created Outdooraholics from scratch and we believe giving singles de england south west coastal path trips a quite different flavour.

We took a very simple idea as our basis - of organising all of the logistics for our hiking trips so that you don't have to. We advise you what to bring, you turn up and you'll have a great time. All of our trips are run by trip leaders from that particular country so we believe they can show you the country and culture like only a local can.

We organise an equal mix of day hikes and weekend trips and put the same detailed planning into both. We also try to use local tour guides for the majority of our trips so that you can get a proper insight in to the history, culture and country that you're visiting - after all you wouldn't expect to visit Russia for example and be "shown" the country and it's cultures by a British person!
